The Inner Game
of Leadership
Overview
Our 4 and 6 month Inner Game of Leadership programs take leaders on a ‘deep dive’ to develop core leadership attributes - mental clarity, resilience and authenticity - and strengthen their impact and influence.
Both programs provide an outstanding opportunity for leaders to exchange ideas, learn from one another and receive support in tackling some of their greatest leadership challenges. These programs combine face-to-face small-group workshops, with a series of targeted one-on-one coaching sessions.

Program Outline
Both programs host 3/4 day workshops, personalised coaching sessions, and support resources attendees can take home.
As outlined in the table above, the 4 and 6 month programs feature:
2 or 3 workshops (3/4 day, 6 hours), which are augmented by
4 or 6 coaching sessions, and culminate with
1 review workshop at the end of the program.
The 6 month Mindful Leadership Program includes 2 additional coaching sessions and 1 additional workshop to embed participant learning.
Workshops
1. Improving your leadership resilience
This workshop introduces mindfulness as an evidence-based set of skills for strengthening self-awareness and managing stress as a leader. The session introduces both the science and the practice of mindfulness-based leadership. Emphasis will be placed on the value of mindfulness in developing greater mental clarity, resilience and well-being, in the context of a fast-paced and demanding leadership role. Participants will receive a range of practical tools to support their own well-being and mental clarity, and the session will explore how these tools can be deployed to meet their own specific leadership challenges.
2. Leading authentically
This workshop will build on the skills developed in the first workshop, and take a ‘deep dive’ to explore participants’ leadership motivations and values, and the ways in which these can be embedded within their leadership practice on a daily basis. The session will also examine the role of mindfulness in cultivating an authentic and compassionate approach to leadership, including in tackling some of participants’ biggest leadership challenges.
3. STRENGTHENING LEADERSHIP INFLUENCE
(6 month program workshop only)
This workshop develops leadership skills for inter-personal influence. Participants are introduced to frameworks for managing high-stakes and difficult relationships, including managing conflict. The workshop then moves to explore skills in having transformational coaching conversations that get below the surface and address underlying causes of difficult relationships.
4. Embedding mindful leadership practice
This session revisits and consolidates issues explored in the first three sessions. Workshop topics explores strategies for building a mindful culture within leaders’ team or organisation. The session finally highlights shared learnings and maps a way forward for bring self-awareness into participants’ leadership practice going forward.
Coaching Sessions
The coaching sessions address participants’ specific leadership challenges, drawing on the workshop content to support participants’ in their leadership practice. These sessions are participant-driven and provide a confidential forum for leaders to air and address some of their biggest challenges, as well as reflect on how they have applied learnings from the workshop in their leadership practice.
Support Resources
Workshop participants receive:
A workbook to support in-session learning and ongoing practice.
Access to online guided mindfulness practices to support ongoing practice.
Follow-up web-based support on an as-needs basis.
Measuring Impact & Sustainability
Subject to your preferences, we deliver a brief (approx. 5 minute) ‘impact survey’ (measuring performance and wellbeing), to be completed by course participants prior to, immediately following, and 2 months after the training.

Workshops
We deliver engaging, experiential half-day (3 hour) and full-day (6 hour) workshops on mindfulness, stress-management, well-being and leadership at work. Workshops we offer (with both half-and full-day versions) include:
Mindfulness for Resilience
This workshop provides mindfulness-based skills for managing stress, set-backs, and negative emotions in the workplace. The workshop offers simple tools for building resilience and increasing enjoyment and meaning at work.
Mindfulness for Focus and Performance
In this workshop, you’ll learn mindfulness tools to manage your attention, limit distraction and procrastination, and enhance productivity and satisfaction at work.
Mindful Leadership
This workshop is an introduction to mindfulness skills that can be used to strengthen your leadership performance: in-particular, self-awareness, resilience and authenticity. The workshop also explores strategies to enhance relationship management and decision-making as a leader.
Mindful Conflict Management
This hands-on workshop teaches mindfulness and self-awareness skills for successfully managing and resolving inter-personal conflict and challenging relationships at work.
Building Emotional Intelligence
This course works with you to build self-awareness and emotional intelligence. It teaches practical tools that build greater empathy, connection and rapport with colleagues as well as those under your supervision.

Keynotes
We deliver engaging and entertaining keynotes on mindfulness, that draw on the latest scientific research on attention, stress-management and leadership, in a way that can be easily digested and applied to every-day workplace challenges. Coaching
We offer leadership coaching that supports individuals in being their best both in and outside of work. We provide strategies that help leaders manage people they lead and confidently tackle the challenges they face in their daily work.
We take a strengths-based approach to coaching, drawing on the core skills developed through mindfulness in order to
a) identify potential blind-spots or habits that may be undermining effectiveness;
b) strengthen relationships with colleagues, direct reports and other stakeholders; and
c) make clear, values-consistent decisions.
